Breakout Boards

I cannot stress enough how helpful these breakout boards have need in the installation. I cannot reccommend these boards enough. These boards connect to the digitrax boards just like the Digitrax connector does, but sorts the various connections out and places them on screw terminal strips. The Digitrax connector is pretty much a solder-only connection, meaning you have to trace down what pins go to what with pretty good accuracy. With the Accu-lites board, its pretty hard to get a connection wrong. No matter how good you think you install the board, something will always have to be rewired or moved (coming from lots of experience). These boards are made for the PM42, SE8c, and BDL168. While all of them are useful, they seem to come in handy the most for the BDL boards.

Here is a link to the Accu-lites website. Their boards are also available at many model train stores and other online locations.
